In Alpha Phi Omega, Service is one of our primary focuses. In our Service program, there are four areas of service: Chapter, Campus, Community, and Country.

Service to the Chapter means brothers helping brothers and brothers helping the chapter. This would include any service a brother does that leads to the growth and improvement of Alpha Zeta Kappa.

Service to the Campus means brothers working on Eastern’s campus to make improvements. Projects range from campus beautification with trash clean up to positivity campaigns giving out notes of encouragement to students. AZK is also working to partner with other registered student organizations on campus to bring bigger and more impactful service projects to the campus.

Service to the community encompasses a wide range of projects and partnerships. AZK works with several different community partners including the humane society and animal shelter, Kenwood nursing home, Habitat for Humanity, Hope’s Wings, Paws 4 the Cause, and many more. This year, AZK is working to reach out to other community organizations and begin new partnerships. AZK also plans other projects in the community not affiliated with a specific organization such as the Easter Egg Extravaganza hosted on Eastern’s campus last spring.

The last area of service, Service to the Country, involves working with organizations that operate on a national level. This would include participating in blood drives for the American Red Cross, working with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America, and other nationwide organizations.
