The core goal of Alpha Phi Omega's Leadership Development Program is to inspire, encourage, and facilitate growth within our members. We hold ourselves to the principles of not only the Scout Law but also the message of Servant Leadership. To be a Servant Leader, an individual, “begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve, to serve first. Then conscious choice brings one to aspire to lead.”

 

Through our fraternity, we facilitate and nurture this desire to lead through many different ways. One example would be through the program called "APO LEADS", which stands for A Personal Odyssey - Launch, Explore, Achieve, Discover, and Serve. These are all workshop style seminars that are conducted by our fellow members. The content of these presentations ranges from effective teamwork strategies to proper project management skills.

 

Along with these presentations our fraternity frequently conducts Leadership Development events that can include "Watch and Reflect Movie Night", as well as various team building events. We hit the mark on just about every facet, and our Leadership Program is constantly evolving.
