Our Chapter

Eastern Kentucky University's chapter, Alpha Zeta Kappa, was chartered in 2006. John T. Strada, a professor of communications at EKU, was an Alumni of the Delta Chapter at Auburn University, the Section 67 Chair, and an advisor for Alpha Zeta Chapter at the University of Kentucky at the time of the chartering. When he saw no active chapter on EKU's campus, he started asking students who may be interested in this type of opportunity to help him start a chapter.

Since the chapter chartered, Alpha Zeta Kappa has strived to uphold the principles of Alpha Phi Omega every day and has provided service to the campus, community, and nation. We have worked on projects from rebuilding houses on trips to New Orleans to assisting the local humane society. Our brothers are often found cleaning the campus or spending time together, building relationships that are incomparable to any others. We believe that every brother has something to bring to the chapter, and that each person is important and has a right to have their voice heard. To many, this brotherhood is a family and we would love for you to yet another meaningful part.
